San Bernardino County Urges Voters to Plan Ahead: Mail Ballots Sent, Ten More Early Voting Sites Open October 29

Thursday, October 22, 2026 · California · GSM News

The Registrar of Voters of San Bernardino County, California, said mail ballots for the November 3, 2026 general election were sent to all active registered voters beginning October 5, and urged residents to make a plan and return their ballots early.

According to the Registrar, voters may return a completed ballot by mail at no postage cost (postmarked on or before November 3 and received within seven days after Election Day), at an official ballot drop box, at the Registrar of Voters office, or in person at an early voting location or any polling place on Election Day. Ballots returned to a drop box or voting location must be received by 8 p.m. on November 3.

To be included in the first election-night results, the county recommends mailing ballots by October 27 or returning them to a drop box or early voting site by October 30. Early voting is already open at the Registrar of Voters office, 777 E. Rialto Ave. in San Bernardino, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the same hours on Saturday, October 31, and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day. Ten additional early voting locations open Thursday, October 29, operating October 29 to 31 and November 2 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day.

The voter registration deadline passed on October 19; the county said eligible residents who missed it can still register conditionally and vote in person through Election Day. Voters can track their ballots through the California Secretary of State's Where's My Ballot system, or call the Registrar of Voters at (909) 387-8300 for locations and hours.
