The Idaho Governor's Office announced on Oct. 22 in Boise that Governor Brad Little ranks among the nation's best governors in two new reports.

Morning Consult's latest poll of approval ratings for governors seeking re-election this year gives Little a +28 approval rating, making him the second most popular Republican governor seeking re-election and the fifth most popular governor seeking re-election overall.

The Cato Institute's 'Freedom in the 50 States' report, released the same day, ranks Idaho fifth overall on economic and personal freedom and, grading governors for the first time across 97 policy variables, places Little sixth among the nation's governors. Idaho ranks first for firearm freedom and first for housing freedom, second for occupational freedom and second for economic freedom, and in the top 10 for freedom of speech, medical freedom, education freedom and lowest fiscal burden.

Little said Idaho's success reflects its people and that his focus remains on delivering results for Idahoans.
