Podcast Film 'The Telepathy Tapes': Reportedly Lands at Amazon MGM for Early 2027 Release
The film version of the hit podcast The Telepathy Tapes has landed at Amazon MGM and is set for release in early 2027, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Created and hosted by filmmaker Ky Dickens, the podcast's debut season investigated reports of telepathy among nonspeaking individuals.
In an official release issued on October 21, 2026, the Telepathy Tapes team confirmed that the film of the same name is set to premiere worldwide in early 2027. The release also announced the launch of the podcast's third season, The Reincarnation Records, which turns to children's reported memories of past lives.
According to that release, the podcast's first season reached No. 1 on Apple Podcasts and Spotify's U.S. podcast charts, won the 2025 Webby Award for Best Indie Podcast, and was nominated for iHeartRadio Podcast of the Year; in 2025 it ranked No. 1 on Apple Podcasts' U.S. year-end charts for Top Series, Top Episodes and Most Shared Shows.
