Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear on Oct. 22 announced the official opening of Niagara Bottling's new plant in Elsmere, Kenton County, a $141 million investment adding 60 full-time jobs.

The project was first announced in September 2024 at $129.8 million; the figure announced at the opening is more than $11 million higher. The plant sits in the C5 Airport East Logistics Center on a 52-acre site and includes 436,800 square feet of manufacturing space for beverage production and distribution.

Niagara Bottling is a family-owned company founded in 1963 and headquartered in Diamond Bar, California. It produces bottled water, sparkling and flavored water, sports drinks and ready-to-drink teas and coffees. Under the agreement published by Kentucky's Cabinet for Economic Development in 2024, the project was approved for up to $1.1 million in performance-based tax incentives tied to the 60 jobs, at a target average hourly wage of $45.17 including benefits.
