Connecticut: Early Voting Tops 80,000 as Secretary of the State Releases October 20 Totals
Connecticut's Secretary of the State released early voting and absentee ballot totals as of October 20 on October 21: 105,534 votes had been cast statewide through all methods, including 80,076 early in-person votes, with 37,049 early votes cast on October 20 alone.
On absentee ballots, 57,908 had been issued statewide and 25,458 returned. Another 436 voters used same-day registration during the early voting period. West Hartford led all municipalities with 1,784 early votes, followed by Milford with 1,575 and Stratford with 1,536.
The Secretary's office noted that not all towns report on the same schedule, that audits are conducted throughout the early voting period, and that the figures may change and do not represent final or official election results. Early voting for Connecticut's 2026 general election is continuing.
