Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves announced in Jackson on October 21 a total of 60 awards worth $32,606,496.32 through the Mississippi Rural Health Transformation Program, to help modernize, strengthen and transform health care in rural communities across the state.

According to the Governor's Office, the awards are part of Mississippi's $205.9 million first-year implementation budget for the program and follow previously announced first-year awards of more than $104.1 million.

Also on October 21, the governor and State Treasurer David McRae applauded Fitch Ratings' upgrade of Mississippi's Gaming Revenue Tax Bonds, Series 2015E and 2019A, to AA- with a stable outlook, which they said reflects increased confidence in the financial strength and stability of the revenue stream supporting the bonds.
