North Dakota Governor Kelly Armstrong, joined by Commerce Tourism and Marketing Director Sara Otte Coleman and Council on the Arts Executive Director Jessica Christy, announced the winners of the 2026 Governor's Photo Contest at an event in Jamestown on October 19.
The contest received 742 entries from across the state and featured a video category for the first time. Awards were given in six categories: Events, Must See Places, Outdoors, Skies, Wildlife and Call It Home, plus a Governor's Choice selection.
The Governor's Choice went to William Boyeff's September morning youth hunt near Watford City. Armstrong said the winning images showcase the places and experiences that make North Dakota special.
