New Hampshire: Governor Pressed X Over Violent Posts; Account Suspended

New Hampshire Governor Kelly Ayotte wrote on October 15 to Michael O'Herlihy, head of safety at X, demanding that the platform remove or suspend the account of the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire after it posted content calling for the assassination of New Hampshire Democrats and threatening House Minority Leader Alexis Simpson.
X suspended the account the following day, according to reports. New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella then issued a statement saying the state Department of Justice is reviewing the posts.
Ayotte said in the letter that content inciting violence against elected officials is unacceptable and should be addressed promptly. The episode drew wider attention as it was reported on October 21.
