Pennsylvania: PENNVEST Invests $190.3 Million in 24 Water Projects Across 19 Counties

The administration of Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro announced on October 21 that the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) will invest $190.3 million in 24 drinking water, wastewater and non-point source projects across 19 counties.
The administration said cumulative PENNVEST investment under Governor Shapiro now exceeds $4.9 billion, benefiting communities in 63 counties, and that more than 45,000 lead and galvanized service lines have been replaced statewide.
In this round, the Erie City Water Authority received a $10 million grant to replace about 1,250 lead and galvanized service connections. The administration said the projects are aimed at protecting drinking water and upgrading aging water infrastructure.
