Virginia: Governor Kicks Off Insurance Marketplace Open Enrollment, New Premium Savings Program

Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger kicked off the new open enrollment period for Virginia's Insurance Marketplace at an event in Norfolk on October 21.
This year's open enrollment runs from November 1 through January 29. The state is also launching the Virginia Premium Savings program, which will help qualifying Virginians save on their monthly premiums. Health and Human Resources Secretary Marvin Figueroa and Virginia Health Benefit Exchange Executive Director Keven Patchett joined the governor at the kickoff.
The administration said residents can compare plans, apply and check their eligibility for premium savings at Marketplace.Virginia.gov, and encouraged residents without employer coverage to enroll during the window.
