UAE and Greece Sign 18 Deals Worth €12.75 Billion at Athens Strategic Forum

ATHENS — The United Arab Emirates and Greece announced 18 memoranda of understanding, agreements and commercial partnerships worth €12.75 billion at a strategic forum in Athens on October 22, covering energy, hospitality, super intelligence, technology, industry and infrastructure, according to Reuters and the UAE state news agency WAM.
Abu Dhabi also said it plans to invest a further €15 billion in Greece over the next five to eight years. Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis attended the forum events.
The signings build on a €4 billion joint investment programme agreed by the two countries in 2022. Official figures put bilateral trade at about $300 million in the first half of this year, up 13%, as economic ties between the UAE and Greece continue to deepen.
