Second China-Belgium Business Dialogue Held in Brussels as Bilateral Trade Reaches $40.4 Billion
The second China-Belgium Business Dialogue was held in Brussels, Belgium's capital, on October 15, hosted by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg under the theme "55 Years Together," marking the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Belgium. Business and institutional representatives from both countries exchanged views on trade and economic cooperation.
Bilateral trade has grown from $20 million when diplomatic ties were established to $40.4 billion in 2025. The stock of Chinese direct investment in Belgium stands at $550 million, and Chinese companies have created more than 1,100 jobs in Belgium.
