BENGALURU — Infosys, India's second-largest IT services company, reported second-quarter FY27 (July–September) results on October 23: consolidated net profit of ₹7,823 crore, up 6.2% year on year from ₹7,364 crore; revenue from operations of ₹49,244 crore, up 10.7%; constant-currency revenue growth of 1.5%; and an operating margin of 21.0%. The headline was the guidance cut: the company lowered its FY27 constant-currency revenue growth forecast to 1%–2% from 1.5%–3%, citing a challenging demand environment, while keeping its fullyear operating margin guidance at 20%–22%.

The board declared an interim dividend of ₹26 per share. Orders and SI remained bright spots: large-deal total contract value hit $5.2 billion, 62% of it net new, including a mega deal worth over $2 billion across seven years; SI-related revenue reached 10.5% of total revenue, up 29% quarter on quarter.

On the earnings call, CEO Salil Parekh and CFO Jayesh Sanghrajka defended the cut as reflecting heightened uncertainty, while analysts pressed on what they called the weakest guidance in seven years. Infosys ADRs fell about 6% in premarket trading after the announcement.
