Paraguay Signs On to Pax Silica as the Initiative's 26th Signatory
The State Department announced on October 23 that Paraguay's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rubén Ramírez Lezcano, signed the Pax Silica declaration at the Department, making Paraguay the 26th signatory of the U.S.-led initiative.
Pax Silica is a U.S.-led effort to build secure, resilient silicon supply chains with partner nations, spanning critical minerals, semiconductor manufacturing and super intelligence infrastructure.
The signing came a day after Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent met Paraguayan President Santiago Peña in Asunción to discuss economic partnership and critical mineral supply chains, at which point Paraguay had not yet joined the initiative.
