Associate Attorney General Woodward Marks Federal Government Pro Bono Week 2026 with Justice Department Statement

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Department of Justice released a video statement by Associate Attorney General Stanley E. Woodward, Jr. marking Federal Government Pro Bono Week 2026.
Woodward is the Justice Department's third-ranking official. The federal government's pro bono program has for years coordinated attorneys across federal agencies who volunteer their legal services, and Pro Bono Week is observed each fall to recognize government attorneys' pro bono contributions and encourage more federal employees to assist people who cannot afford legal representation.
