Next James Bond Search Reaches the Finalists: Three British Actors to Screen-Test, THR and Deadline Report
The search for the next James Bond has reached its final stage, according to The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline: Callum Turner and Jack Lowden will screen-test in London, Josh O'Connor is also expected to test according to Deadline, and at least four test offers have gone out, with up to five actors possibly taking part. The fourth contender has not been identified. The tests are held at Pinewood Studios, the Bond franchise's longtime production base.
THR reports that Jacob Elordi and Jack O'Connell, both previously rumored to be in contention, are not among those testing. The next Bond film will be directed by Denis Villeneuve for Amazon MGM Studios, with Amy Pascal and David Heyman among the producers, and a decision is expected before the end of the year. Daniel Craig played Bond from 2006's 'Casino Royale' through 2021's 'No Time to Die.' Amazon has not commented on the casting process.
