San Jose Earthquakes Foundation Launches $52,000 Giving Fund for Bay Area Youth Soccer: Applications Open Through Dec. 7

The San Jose Earthquakes of Major League Soccer (MLS), based in San Jose, California, announced on October 24 the launch of their 2026 Quakes Foundation Giving Fund, which will provide $52,000 in total grant money to local organizations, soccer leagues and clubs working to expand access to soccer throughout the Greater Bay Area. Applications are open now through Monday, December 7.
The $52,000 total honors the club's 52 years in existence. Eligible applicants include youth soccer clubs and leagues located in the Greater Bay Area, public and private schools offering competitive soccer programs in the area, and community organizations that run soccer-focused programming. Grant amounts will be in increments of $1,000, $2,500, $5,000 and $10,000; the number of grants will depend on the applications received, and amounts will vary based on demonstrated need. Applications are submitted through the club's DonationX platform. Following the deadline and a formal selection process, final recipients will be recognized at an Earthquakes home match during the 2027 MLS season.
"From our start 52 years ago, the Quakes have been a true part of the fabric of our communities and have helped bring people together through the power of soccer," said Robert Davis, Earthquakes VP of Community Relations. "In this World Cup year, the Quakes Foundation Giving Fund will carry that legacy forward, helping local organizations turn the shared passion for our game into lasting connections and greater opportunities for youth to play and grow."
The Quakes Foundation, the Earthquakes' 501(c)(3) nonprofit arm, has promoted unity through sport since its inception in 2008, working to improve health and fitness outcomes for local youth and to combat food insecurity in the community.
