The U.S. Shenzhen Federation (US Shenzhen Federation) released its institutional promotional film on October 24. The roughly three-and-a-half-minute video introduces the organization and its main activities. Registered in California in 2022, the federation is a nonprofit organization with 501(c)(6) tax-exempt status, founded at the initiative of its founding president, Ye Dong.

According to the federation, it operates six industry alliances and twelve interest clubs, bringing together nearly 8,000 Shenzhen natives living in the United States and friends from all walks of life. Since its founding, it has held more than 100 events spanning its industry alliances as well as business, cultural, educational and public-welfare activities.

Its signature event, the U.S. Shenzheners Check-In Day, has been held for four consecutive years, each edition drawing about a thousand participants. On the business side, the federation runs more than 30 business exchange events a year and has led multiple delegations to Shenzhen for trade exchanges and resource matching with Shenzhen government departments, business associations and enterprises, linking U.S. resources with Shenzhen and helping Shenzhen companies expand into the U.S. market.

Under its motto of uniting Shenzhen bonds, gathering talent worldwide and developing hand in hand, the federation's work rests on three pillars: hometown fellowship, business exchange and public service.
