San Bernardino County's $41 Million Behavioral Health Contracts Take Effect November 1, Serving About 1,120 Adults

Behavioral health services in San Bernardino County, California, will change operators on November 1: the Board of Supervisors earlier this month approved full-service behavioral-health partnership contracts with Kings View, Pacific Clinics and Telecare Corporation worth up to $41 million through October 2031, expected to serve approximately 1,120 adult clients. Existing clients will begin transitioning to the new regional providers on November 1.
According to the county's published meeting summary, the board on October 6 also approved approximately $1.8 million in District Specific Priorities Program funding for transportation, economic development, youth employment, community safety and veterans services, including $700,000 for the City of Fontana's Downtown Economic Incentive Program to help new downtown businesses purchase fixtures, furniture, equipment and appliances.
The same meeting accepted state and private grants for childcare, emergency vouchers and public-safety equipment. The county said the regional structure of the behavioral health contracts is intended to bring services closer to the communities where clients live.
