Monday, October 26, 2026 · Sports · GSM News

GLENDALE, Arizona — Arizona Cardinals head coach Mike LaFleur gave an injury update on October 26, saying rookie running back Jeremiyah Love, who has missed the past two games with a lingering ankle injury, is planned to return to the practice field on Wednesday, October 28, with his game status to be judged over the week.

Love has 67 carries for 245 yards and a touchdown in five games this season, plus 11 catches for 36 yards and another score. He hurt his left ankle in Week 4, played through it for a stretch, and has not practiced at all over the past two weeks, with Bam Knight and Tyler Allgeier splitting the backfield work.

The secondary got good news as well: cornerback Max Melton and safety Andrew Wingard, both recovering from knee injuries, are also expected back at practice on October 28. Defensive tackle Walter Nolen III, who injured an ankle in Week 6, is not expected to practice at the start of the week.

Latest: Love did return to practice on October 28 on a limited basis, putting him on track for the Week 8 home game against the Dallas Cowboys.
