Macau: Delegation of National Model Workers and Master Craftsmen Departs on October 26 for a Six-Day Exchange Visit to Hong Kong and Macau
A reporter learned on October 26 from the All-China Federation of Trade Unions that, at the invitation of the Hong Kong Federation of Trade Unions and the Macao Federation of Trade Unions, a delegation of national model workers and master craftsmen organized by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions recently departed for a six-day exchange visit to Hong Kong and Macau. The visit aims to deepen exchanges and cooperation between mainland and Hong Kong and Macau trade unions and workers, promote the spirit of model workers, the spirit of labor and the spirit of craftsmanship, and further advance mutual learning between the mainland and Hong Kong and Macau in talent and technology, as well as deeper integration in culture and sentiment. The delegation consists of five outstanding workers from different fields - Yang Yongqiang, Wang Ying, Zhou Pinghong, Guo Wei and Wang Yuepeng - all of whom are recipients of honors such as National Model Worker, National Advanced Worker, the May 1 Labor Medal or Master Craftsman. Among them are a deputy chief designer of a model who has worked on the front line of aerospace liquid rocket engine research and development for more than twenty years and helped China successfully complete its first orbital re-entry recovery test of a carrier rocket; a banking institution business leader who has worked on the front line of the capital's financial sector for twenty-five years, empowering the construction of the city sub-center and public services with digital finance; a medical expert who has devoted thirty-three years to the front line of medicine, teaching and research, pushing China's endoscopic minimally invasive technology to the world forefront; a 'golden microphone' host who has stayed on the broadcasting front line, warming the city with their voice and innovating services for the public; and an expert in live-line work who has safeguarded the lights of tens of thousands of households in the capital for twenty-eight years, innovating through hands-on work on 10,000-volt high-voltage lines. During their stay in Hong Kong and Macau, the delegation will interact face to face with people from all walks of life in Hong Kong and Macau, including industry models, technical experts, grassroots workers, young students, members of the general public, as well as representatives of SAR government departments and labor organizations, telling their stories of striving and sharing their understanding and reflections on labor.
