Grand Prix de France Figure Skating Results Announced on October 26: Host Skater Siao Him Fa Takes the Title

Monday, October 26, 2026 · World · GSM News

On October 26, the first stop of the 2026-27 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, held in Angers, France, concluded and results were announced: host skater Adam Siao Him Fa won the title with a total score of 284.24 points, giving the French team a good start to the Grand Prix season. Japan's Kao Miura took silver with 247.96 points, and South Korea's Seo Min-gyu won bronze with 244.90 points. Kazakhstan's Mikhail Shaidorov placed tenth with 206.55 points; he had ranked fourth after the short program but placed only 11th in the free skating, pulling his overall ranking down. The Grand Prix de France is the first of six stops in the new season's Grand Prix series, and skaters from all countries hope to use it to test their summer training results and compete for places in the Grand Prix Final. Siao Him Fa has been the leading figure in French men's singles in recent years, and his victory not only delivered a win for the home audience but also injected confidence into French figure skating's campaign this season. For Asian skaters, Miura and Seo reaching the podium shows that Asian men's singles remain competitive this season. The Kazakhstan Olympic Committee said Shaidorov ranked second in the ISU world rankings updated in September this year; although his tenth-place finish at this stop was not ideal, the season has only just begun and there is still room for adjustment. The next Grand Prix stop will move to another country, and the skaters have almost no breathing room before throwing themselves into new preparations.
