Netherlands: Wereldhave Announces on October 26: Remco Langewouters Nominated as Managing Director and CFO

On October 26, Dutch commercial real estate company Wereldhave announced that its supervisory board has nominated Remco Langewouters as the company's statutory managing director and chief financial officer, for a term from December 9, 2026 until the close of the 2030 annual general meeting. Langewouters is 46 years old and has served as the company's interim chief financial officer since May 2026; before that, he was Wereldhave's group finance director for eight years and previously held senior finance roles at Ventolines, Angelo Gordon and PwC, in a career spanning commercial real estate, renewable energy and distressed debt. The company also announced that it will convene an extraordinary general meeting at 10:30 a.m. on December 9, 2026 at the H'ART Museum in Amsterdam to ask shareholders to approve the appointment. Wereldhave said the nomination is fully in line with the company's remuneration policy and that the works council has given a positive opinion. Wereldhave is a commercial real estate company listed on Euronext Amsterdam, with shopping centres across the Netherlands, Belgium and France; the change of chief financial officer comes as the European commercial property market gradually stabilises, and investors will watch the new CFO's stance on financing costs, asset disposals and leasing strategy. For shareholders, the December extraordinary general meeting will be the key milestone for formally confirming the appointment.
