St. Paul Union Depot Hosts Free Halloween Family Event on October 25: Crafts and a DJ Dance Party Together

A Twin Cities Halloween family event took place on October 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Paul Union Depot. Named "BOOnion Depot," it was held in the station's first-floor waiting hall, with free admission and parking charged separately. The event featured crafts, a DJ dance area, prizes and Halloween-themed entertainment, and children were encouraged to come in costume; it was open to families of all ages. Located on East Kellogg Boulevard in downtown St. Paul, Union Depot is a historic transportation hub of the Twin Cities, and the indoor venue spared families any worry about the day's outdoor weather. The organizer also noted that a sponsored light-rail arrangement applied during the event and attendees needed to obtain the corresponding transit pass as required; event admission itself was not a transit ticket. The same day, the Twin Cities had several other Halloween family events, including a pumpkin festival from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Landmark Center in St. Paul, but the Union Depot event was the only large free family gathering that morning held inside a historic station hall — well suited to families wanting to take the kids out before lunch.
