Harris Poll: 96% of Managers Would Recommend University of Phoenix Graduates for Greater Responsibility

Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona — The University of Phoenix released on October 26 the results of a new Harris Poll survey conducted for it, polling managers who directly supervise University of Phoenix graduates. The survey showed that the overwhelming majority of managers rated the graduates' performance positively and considered them capable of taking on more important work. Among the managers surveyed, 96% said they would recommend the University of Phoenix graduates they manage for greater responsibility, 95% said the graduates have high potential for advancement or promotion, and 93% said the graduates generally possess qualities they wish to see more of in their workforce. The survey also noted that employers increasingly value qualities such as leadership, adaptability and continuous learning — the very qualities managers observed in the graduates. A World Economic Forum report likewise identifies leadership and social influence as core skills employers value. The University of Phoenix said the survey reflects managers' evaluations based on direct supervisory experience, rather than general impressions of the school as a whole.
