Honolulu Offers Free Resume Workshops to Help Job Seekers Prepare for the Annual Career Expo

Honolulu, City and County of Honolulu, Hawaii — The City of Honolulu announced on October 26 that its employment program WorkHawaiʻi will offer free resume workshops to help job seekers prepare for the 2026 career expo. The Mayor's Office announced the arrangement the same day; the workshops are open to residents who are looking for work.
The city said WorkHawaiʻi will also operate a city digital lab at the Honolulu Star-Advertiser Career Expo, providing hands-on help for job seekers and assisting them in applying for vacancies in city departments. Digital lab staff will guide job seekers through online applications step by step and help resolve difficulties in the process.
The arrangement is intended to lower the barrier to job hunting, so residents unfamiliar with online application procedures can also submit resumes smoothly. The city advised job seekers planning to attend the career expo to first take part in a resume workshop, get their resumes ready, and then meet employers face to face at the expo to improve their job-search efficiency.
