White Sulphur Springs, Meagher County, Montana — Sandfire Resources America Inc. announced on Oct. 26 that its board has launched a strategic review to advance the Black Pine project and maximize value for shareholders. During the review, the board will analyze and evaluate various strategic alternatives, including, among others, a sale of the company. The board has formed a special committee of independent directors to oversee the review; the largest shareholder, Sandfire Resources Limited, has expressed support for the strategic review and intends to continue supporting the company in executing its existing business plan. The company has engaged RBC Capital Markets as financial advisor, and the special committee has engaged Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP as legal advisor. The company said the board has set no timetable for the review's conclusion and does not intend to disclose developments until the board approves a specific transaction or otherwise determines disclosure is appropriate or required under securities laws. Management will continue executing the existing business plan and advancing key objectives at the Black Pine project.
