Alabama Offensive Line Starter Sanders Has Surgery for High Ankle Sprain; Coach Says He Will Miss Two to Three Weeks

Alabama announced on October 26 that offensive line starter William Sanders has undergone TightRope surgery to repair a high ankle sprain. Head coach Kalen DeBoer confirmed in Birmingham that Sanders is considered week-to-week and will probably miss two to three weeks.
Sanders was injured in the second quarter of Alabama's win over Texas A&M on October 24, leaving with a boot on his right foot and walking on crutches. According to Pro Football Focus, Sanders has played 316 snaps on the offensive line this season; Kaden Strayhorn replaced him after he left the game.
Alabama has an idle week before facing LSU on the road at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 7. DeBoer said Sanders is "probably a few weeks out, probably two or three weeks."
