The 13-state Declaration of Dependence Tour led by Will Graham, executive vice president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA), reaches Wilmington, North Carolina, at noon on October 26, with a lunchtime stop at Live Oak Bank Pavilion on the Cape Fear River featuring prayer for the nation, praise and a brief evangelistic message from Graham. Each stop on the tour begins at noon and lasts less than one hour, making it possible for people to attend during their lunch break.

The tour kicked off on September 15 at Pilgrim Memorial State Park in Plymouth, Massachusetts, and has since traveled to Manchester, New Hampshire; Providence, Rhode Island; New Haven, Connecticut; Wilmington, Delaware; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Trenton, New Jersey; Hempstead, New York; Roanoke, Virginia; and Frederick, Maryland. After the Wilmington stop, the tour is scheduled to conclude with stops at Unity Park in Greenville, South Carolina, on October 28 and Forsyth Park in Savannah, Georgia, on October 30. Stops feature acoustic music from Josh Havens alongside prayer and Graham's messages.

"As we continue to commemorate our country's 250th birthday, it seems that many across the nation are declaring their independence from God. They don't want Him in their lives. At the same time, I believe that now is the moment to turn back to our Savior—thanking Him for His faithfulness and truly acknowledging our dependence on Him," Graham said in the association's tour announcement. "At the Declaration of Dependence Tour, we'll spend time in prayer and praise. Then I'll share the timeless truth of the Gospel and give people a chance to respond and place their faith in Jesus." Pastor Ron Termale of Legacy Church in Providence, Rhode Island, said there is "a hunger for truth in the Northeast" and that, after many historic spiritual awakenings in New England, "it's time for another one."

According to the BGEA, Graham has held events in the United States, Japan, Korea and Canada so far in 2026, with more than 31,000 people hearing the Good News through his outreaches this year and over 1,200 making decisions to follow Jesus. Will Graham is the third generation of his family to proclaim the Gospel under the banner of the BGEA: the grandson of Billy Graham and the oldest son of Franklin Graham, he has spoken to more than 1.2 million people across six continents and serves as the association's executive vice president. Founded by Billy Graham in 1950 and headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, the BGEA directs domestic and international ministries from Charlotte. The Wilmington venue, Live Oak Bank Pavilion at 10 Cowan Street, is the city's largest music venue, an amphitheater with a capacity of 7,200 located next to the Cape Fear River.
