Jay-Z to Headline 2027 Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show on February 14 at SoFi Stadium
The NFL, Roc Nation and Apple Music announced on Monday, October 26, that rap superstar Jay-Z will headline the Apple Music Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show, on February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The announcement was made during halftime of Monday Night Football's matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys.
“From Reasonable Doubt to standing on the Super Bowl Halftime stage, this has been a journey,” Jay-Z said in a statement. “Thirty years of music, work and culture on the world's biggest stage. This run continues to be a dream come true.” NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said that when the league first reached its agreement with Roc Nation to produce the show, he had just one request: that Jay-Z take the stage himself one day. “I couldn't be more excited for fans around the world to experience the artistry, creativity and cultural impact he will bring to the Super Bowl stage,” Goodell said.
Jay-Z's entertainment company Roc Nation has produced the halftime show since 2019, booking Shakira and Jennifer Lopez, The Weeknd, Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar and, most recently, Bad Bunny — but Jay-Z himself has never performed at halftime; 2027 will be his first time. The 25-time Grammy winner wrapped his “Jay-Z 30” anniversary concert series with two shows at the same SoFi Stadium on October 23 and 24. His wife Beyoncé headlined the halftime show in 2013 and appeared as a guest performer in 2016.
