Follow-Up: Ella Langley's 'Choosin' Texas' Rebounds for Record-Extending 25th Week at No. 1 on Hot 100

Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas" rises a spot to notch a record-extending 25th week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, Billboard reported on October 26. The chart is dated October 31 and updates on Billboard.com on October 27.
The song first ruled the Hot 100 in February and has now logged its seventh distinct stay at No. 1, the most separate No. 1 runs in a single release cycle. In the October 16–22 tracking week, it totaled 20 million official U.S. streams (up 1%), 58.6 million radio airplay audience impressions and 4,000 sold. It drops to No. 4 on Streaming Songs after a record-tying 26 weeks on top, falls 2–5 on Digital Song Sales after a record 19 weeks at No. 1, and leads the Hot Country Songs chart for a 46th week — the second-longest run in that chart's history, behind only the 50 weeks of "Meant To Be" in 2017–18.
On the all-time list of longest-leading Hot 100 hits since the chart began in August 1958, "Choosin' Texas" (25 weeks) leads Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You" (22), Shaboozey's "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" and Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road" (19 each). Three songs are new to the top five this week: Tate McRae's "Housewife" debuts at No. 2; Olivia Rodrigo and Chappell Roan's "Expectations" vaults 63–3 following the release of its remix adding Roan; and Zach Bryan's "Lies," featuring Lana Del Rey, opens at No. 4.
