Los Angeles Legislative Management System Launches October 26, Replacing the Old Council File System

Monday, October 26, 2026 · California · GSM News

The Los Angeles City Clerk's Office launched a new Legislative Management System on October 26, replacing the retired Council File Management System, in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California. The new platform is at LMS.LACITY.GOV, and residents can use all of the City Clerk's tools in one place without being redirected elsewhere. The City Clerk's Office said the new system consolidates previously scattered tools into a single interface, making it easier for the public to follow council work and take part in City Council affairs. The integrated functions include the existing council file database, the council and committee meeting agenda databases, the public comment portal and agenda subscription options. Residents can search council files, view meeting agendas, submit public comments and subscribe to agenda updates on the same platform instead of switching between multiple old systems. The City Clerk's Office said the launch is an upgrade of the city's public-facing services, aimed at making it easier for Angelenos to understand the City Council's decision-making process and participate in it. The new system went live on Monday, October 26, and the old Council File Management System was retired the same day.
