NVIDIA Expands Isaac Robotics Platform at GTC Berlin: Agile Robots Unveils Agile ONE SN Reference Humanoid

At GTC Berlin on October 21, NVIDIA announced a major expansion of its NVIDIA Isaac open robotics development platform, adding a reference humanoid, datasets and a runtime, along with updates to its robot learning framework. German robotics company Agile Robots unveiled Agile ONE SN, a full-stack reference humanoid built on NVIDIA Isaac GR00T and powered by Jetson Thor, scheduled to be available in early 2027, with interest from institutions including Stanford University and ETH Zurich.
The Agile ONE S body stands 1.40 meters tall, weighs 40 kilograms, has 31 degrees of freedom and a 3-kilogram payload per arm. Its dual WUJI Hand 2 five-finger hands each offer 20 degrees of freedom, 1kHz force control and tactile sensing. Onboard Jetson Thor compute delivers 2,070 FP4 teraflops and 128GB of unified memory, while multimodal sensing includes head and wrist cameras, lidar and inertial measurement units. The platform runs the Isaac GR00T foundation model with a full workflow from data capture to deployment, with planned integration of the NVIDIA Halos safety stack.
"General-purpose robotics is advancing at extraordinary speed — the ChatGPT moment for robotics is fast approaching," said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA. "With NVIDIA Isaac, our full-stack open robotics platform, we are giving developers the models, data, simulation tools and computing systems to bring physical AI to the world's largest industries."
Also released were Isaac Lab 3.0, now generally available as an open-source robot learning framework using the Newton and PhysX physics engines; Isaac OS, an open-source runtime built on Holoscan; the SimReady Central Library with more than 2,000 simulation-ready assets; and the Human 1M Dataset with synchronized three-view human activity video and 3D hand tracking. European robotics leaders including ABB Robotics, KUKA, NEURA Robotics and Universal Robots are building on the platform.
