The Phoenix Suns beat the Golden State Warriors 131-122 in an NBA regular-season game on Saturday, October 24, at Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix. Suns guard Devin Booker scored 43 points on 17-of-25 shooting with seven rebounds and seven assists, setting a franchise home-opener scoring record that surpassed Charles Barkley's 37 points from November 7, 1992. The Warriors fell to 0-3 for the first time in 19 years.

Booker scored 24 of his points in the second half, including 17 in a 45-point third quarter for Phoenix. Miles Bridges added 16 points, Dillon Brooks had 15 points and five assists, and Luke Kennard scored 11 off the bench, hitting a three-pointer with about six minutes left to stretch the lead to 117-102. The Suns, who had lost their season opener 124-83 at Portland, won their home opener for a fifth straight season before a crowd of 17,071.

Golden State was short-handed, resting Stephen Curry (right knee), Brandin Podziemski (lower back), Draymond Green (lower back) and Al Horford (lower back). Rookie Yaxel Lendeborg led the Warriors with 26 points and six three-pointers, and De'Anthony Melton scored 25 on 8-of-13 shooting, but it was not enough to avoid the 0-3 start.
