Canadian singer Tate McRae's new single "Housewife" has debuted at No. 1 on both of Billboard's global charts. On the charts dated October 31, 2026 (tracking week October 16–22), the song bowed atop both the Billboard Global 200 and the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, making it the biggest song in the world this week. In the United States, it entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 2, behind only Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas."

According to Billboard, "Housewife" opened with 55.9 million streams and about 6,000 copies sold worldwide in its first week, with roughly 34.9 million of those streams coming from outside the United States. Released October 15 by RCA Records, the track is the lead single from McRae's forthcoming fourth studio album, whose title has not yet been announced; it was co-written by McRae with Ryan Tedder, Julia Michaels and others.

"Housewife" is McRae's second Billboard Global 200 No. 1, following "Greedy," which led the Global 200 for two weeks and the Global Excl. U.S. chart for five weeks across 2023–24. Unlike "Greedy," which climbed to the top, "Housewife" is her first single to debut at No. 1.

The music video arrived the same day as the single, directed by Pierre-Ange Carlotti and filmed in the south of France. On October 18, McRae performed the song live at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, adding a major visual moment to its first week.
