Olivia Rodrigo Returns to No. 1 on the Billboard 200: "Expectations" Remix Fuels 75,000 Units

Olivia Rodrigo's "you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love" returns to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart dated October 31, for a third nonconsecutive week on top, according to Billboard. The set surged from the runner-up slot with 75,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States in the week ending October 22, a 15% gain. The increase was largely spurred by the release on October 15 of a new remix of the album's latest single, "Expectations," with Chappell Roan, alongside its official music video.

Streaming did the heavy lifting, according to Groovevolt: streaming-equivalent units rose 19% to 63,000, and songs from the album pulled in 67.14 million official on-demand streams. The remix, produced by Daniel Nigro, marks Roan's first official feature; its video, directed by Bardia Zeinali, arrived October 15 and has passed 21 million YouTube views. The two artists have been friends since 2018, and Roan opened for Rodrigo on the Sour Tour and the Guts World Tour.

The album debuted at No. 1 in June with 485,000 units, the biggest solo debut of 2026, spent its first two weeks on top (charts dated June 27 and July 4), and has yet to leave the weekly top five in its 19 weeks on the list. In the same week, Taylor Swift's "The Life of a Showgirl" fell to No. 5, down 52% to 42,000 units. The Billboard 200 ranks albums by multi-metric consumption in equivalent album units, as compiled by Luminate. The full October 31-dated chart will be posted on Billboard's website on October 27.
