Orange Treats in the Streets Returns October 29 at the Old Towne Plaza: Free Trick-or-Treating, 4 to 7 p.m.

The annual Treats in the Streets Halloween event in Orange, Orange County, California, takes place on Thursday, October 29, from 4 to 7 p.m. around the Old Towne Orange Plaza. The event is free: children and families can trick-or-treat at local merchants and take part in a costume parade, games and entertainment.
According to organizer Orange Plaza Traditions, the event is centered on Plaza Park, extending along Chapman Avenue from Grand Street to Lemon Street and along Glassell Street from Almond Avenue to Maple Avenue. City of Orange documents show the City Council approved street closures for the day: the Plaza's southeast quadrant closes from 5 a.m., and sections of Chapman Avenue and Glassell Street close from 1 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with barricades and traffic control by the Community Services, Police and Public Works departments.
Details, including the event map, are at the organizer's site, optevents.org. Admission: free (food and drink sold by some vendors).
