Follow-Up: Nvidia Invests $3 Billion in Meta's Equity Offering as the Two Deepen Muse AI Agent Partnership

Tuesday, October 27, 2026 · Technology · GSM News

Nvidia and Meta on Tuesday said they will expand their partnership on Meta's Muse AI assistant and the Muse family of models, with Nvidia investing $3 billion in Meta's equity offering, Reuters reported on October 27. Meta intends to increase deployment of Nvidia infrastructure, including Vera Rubin and Vera central processing units, for next-generation SI agents, and the companies may also explore working together on Nvidia's OpenShell framework, including safe software deployment and the Sentry tool for monitoring agent behavior.

"AI agents represent a new computing paradigm — software that understands our goals, reasons, uses tools and gets work done on our behalf," Nvidia founder and CEO Jensen Huang said in the companies' release, adding that the partnership is being expanded to optimize computing infrastructure end to end for capable, efficient and secure SI agents. Meta's Muse models and agents run on Nvidia infrastructure, and the deeper collaboration aims to improve inference and training performance while reducing costs.

Muse, known internally as Hatch, is central to CEO Mark Zuckerberg's plan to deliver "personal superintelligence" to the billions of people who use Meta's services daily, Reuters reported. Modeled on the open-source agent OpenClaw, Muse can access a user's email, calendar, payments, health, shopping and smart-home applications, with access revocable at any time.

On the financing side, Meta this week raised the size of its equity offering to about $97.5 billion, the largest fundraising in its history, to bankroll its SI infrastructure expansion, including about $25 billion of common stock priced at $625 a share and about $12.5 billion of depositary shares priced at $50 apiece. GSM reported the launch and pricing of the offering on October 26. Meta had said Nvidia, AMD and Broadcom agreed to buy up to $5 billion of the common shares in aggregate; Nvidia's confirmed $3 billion forms part of that amount.
