Boston Foundation Latino Equity Fund Applications Close October 30: $50,000 General Operating Grants for Latinx-Serving Nonprofits

The Latino Equity Fund (LEF) at The Boston Foundation in Boston, Massachusetts, will close applications for its FY27 grant cycle on October 30 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Selected Latinx-serving nonprofit organizations will each receive a one-time $50,000 general operating grant. The application portal opened on September 15, and organizations that received an LEF grant in the FY26 cycle are not eligible to apply this cycle.
This cycle prioritizes two areas: trusted community health care access, including free mobile clinics, free primary care, vaccination drives, health insurance support and medical bill negotiation; and equitable economic opportunities, including ESOL classes, professional credentialing, apprenticeships and trades training, college readiness, HiSET support, work authorization renewal assistance, and culturally competent business training, technical assistance and legal support for entrepreneurs.
To be eligible, an organization must be headquartered within the Foundation's catchment area of Essex, Middlesex, Norfolk, Plymouth and Suffolk counties, provide the majority of its services there, maintain no offices or services outside Massachusetts, and have a current fiscal year budget below $5 million. Priority consideration is given to nonprofits located in 13 Latinx hub communities, including Boston, Brockton, Chelsea, Framingham, Haverhill, Lawrence, Lowell, Lynn, Methuen, Revere, Saugus, Salem and Waltham. Incomplete or late submissions will not be considered.
The Foundation's Fall Safety Net Grants, also closing October 30, support Greater Boston organizations responding to urgent basic needs in food security, health and behavioral health, direct cash assistance and housing stabilization. Applications are submitted through the Boston Foundation's nonprofit grant pages.
