Taylor Swift, 36, Inducted Into Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame as Youngest Ever on Oct. 26

Singer Taylor Swift was formally inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame on Monday, October 26, 2026, at the organization's 56th Anniversary Gala at Music City Center in Nashville, Tennessee. At 36, Swift became the youngest inductee in the Hall's history.
Swift was elected in the 20-Year Contemporary Songwriter/Artist category. "I'm so incredibly honored to be inducted into this sacred club, especially at this point in my life," she said in her acceptance speech. "It's not lost on me how crazy this is, and I will cherish it forever because Nashville is the place that honed and polished this thing about myself and the thing about my life that I am the most proud of and the most passionate about." She said her ability to move between genres and write with people around the world rested on the fundamentals she learned in Nashville.
Brad Paisley introduced her at the gala, and Lainey Wilson performed Swift's early hit "Love Story" in her honor. Joining Swift in the Class of 2026 were Lyle Lovett, Bruce Channel, Shawn Camp and Lee Thomas Miller, along with the late J.I. Allison, inducted posthumously in the Legacy category. The six join the Hall's 254 existing members.
Swift signed a publishing deal with Sony in Nashville at age 14, among the youngest songwriters the company had signed. Her self-titled debut album was released on October 24, 2006, two days before the gala marked its 20th anniversary. Earlier this year she was inducted into the New York-based Songwriters Hall of Fame as its youngest-ever female inductee. Swift is a 14-time Grammy Award winner.
