Two Box Elder Men Sentenced to 15 and 10 Years in Prison for Trafficking Fentanyl on Montana's Rocky Boy's Indian Reservation

The U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Montana announced on October 27, 2026, that Allen Nathan Parisian, 34, of Box Elder, in Hill County, Montana, was sentenced that day to 15 years in federal prison followed by 10 years of supervised release, and that Tanner Cole Parisian, 27, was sentenced last week to 10 years in prison followed by five years of supervised release, for their roles in a group that trafficked large amounts of fentanyl on the Rocky Boy's Indian Reservation.
Chief U.S. District Judge Brian M. Morris presided. Allen Parisian pleaded guilty in June 2026 to possession with intent to distribute controlled substances, and Tanner Parisian pleaded guilty to the same charge in May 2026. U.S. Attorney Scott Twito announced the sentences.
According to court documents, the group trafficked fentanyl and methamphetamine on the Rocky Boy's Indian Reservation between 2023 and 2025. Allen Parisian, known as "Little Al," began receiving fentanyl pills from a source in 2020 to sell on the reservation. When he was sent to prison in 2023, the supplier began using his father, Leonard Parisian, known as "Big Al," who was sentenced to 10 years in prison in September 2026. Little Al was released in 2024 and resumed trafficking, working with Big Al to keep the supply moving; in May 2024, law enforcement arrested him after finding fentanyl pills in his vehicle during a traffic stop.
Tanner Parisian was one of the couriers Big Al used to bring illicit drugs onto the reservation from an out-of-state supplier. In July 2024, the Montana Highway Patrol stopped a truck near Vaughn and found Tanner Parisian's backpack in the back seat holding roughly two pounds of fentanyl in 10 baggies, a quarter pound of methamphetamine in five baggies, and $1,000 in cash. Investigators later learned he was on a resupply run for Big Al, one of about seven such trips he had taken.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Jeffrey K. Starnes prosecuted the case, which was investigated by the FBI and the Montana Division of Criminal Investigation.
