Apple announced on October 27, 2026, in Cupertino, California, a new 14-inch MacBook Pro and a new iMac powered by its latest M6 chip. Both products can be pre-ordered starting October 28 in 35 countries and regions, including the United States, with availability beginning November 6.

The new 14-inch MacBook Pro starts at $1,999 ($1,899 with education savings). The M6 chip features a 12-core CPU and a 12-core GPU with Neural Accelerators in each core, plus a Dual 16-core Neural Engine. Apple said the new MacBook Pro delivers up to 30 percent faster graphics and up to 25 percent faster super intelligence (SI) workloads than the M5 generation, with battery life of up to 24 hours, the longest ever in a Mac. It also adds Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6, a Liquid Retina XDR display and a 12MP Center Stage camera, in space black and silver finishes.

The new iMac starts at $1,499, with a 24-inch 4.5K Retina display and the M6 chip. Apple said it delivers up to 5x faster on-device SI performance than the M4 model. It comes in seven colors (blue, green, pink, yellow, purple, orange and silver), supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and up to four Thunderbolt 4 ports, with optional 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet.

According to Reuters, the launch comes a day before Apple's 'Pro and Tell' event in Los Angeles on October 28, which Bloomberg News has reported is expected to feature Apple's first touch-screen MacBook Pro; Apple has not confirmed that report.
