Toronto's mayoral election ended on October 26 with Hong Kong-born Olivia Chow re-elected to a first full term, winning 532,201 votes and 54.16 percent of the vote against Brad Bradford's 404,013 votes (41.11 percent), a margin of 128,188 votes.

Unofficial results released by the City of Toronto show 982,660 ballots cast, a turnout of 45.84 percent, with all 1,431 polling locations reporting and 53 candidates on the mayoral ballot. Chow's vote total set a record for a Toronto mayoral candidate, surpassing Mel Lastman's 483,277 votes in 2000. The results remain unofficial pending certification by the city clerk.

Chow was born in British Hong Kong and immigrated to Toronto with her family in 1970 at age 13. She first won the mayor's office in a 2023 by-election with 269,372 votes (37.16 percent) on 38.5 percent turnout; both her vote total and share rose sharply in this re-election.

"The people of Toronto have spoken tonight," Chow said in her victory speech, pledging to be mayor for all Torontonians, including those who voted for other candidates. Bradford has conceded and called to congratulate her. Chow's campaign pledges included more rental housing, free school meals and discounted transit fares for frequent riders.
