Target Reimagines Its Largest Owned Home Brand Threshold With More Than 800 New Items

Target Corporation (NYSE: TGT) announced on October 27 significant updates to Threshold, its largest owned Home brand, adding more than 800 new items along with refreshed shopping experiences in all stores and online. (GSM, based on a Target Corporation press release)
Threshold is a nearly $3 billion owned brand. The reinvention spans decorative accessories, bedding, tabletop products and other home essentials in styles from traditional to contemporary. Announced prices include Performance Sheets at $50 for queen size and $60 for king size, and select Threshold queen comforters at $69, down from $89. In stores, categories such as decorative pillows, throws and tabletop decor are now merchandised together by color, pattern and texture, and select stores feature new wood fixtures.
"Homes are an extension of our guests' personalities and sense of style, and Target's Threshold reinvention makes it easier for everyone to create spaces they'll love," said Mara Sirhal, senior vice president of merchandising for home at Target. The company said reinvented products already in stores, including throws, decorative accessories and candles, are seeing double-digit growth, while tests of updated product presentations show mid-single-digit lifts in sales and units. Target operates more than 2,000 stores across the United States.
