Azusa Light & Water Autopay Error: September Late Fees Waived, Unpaid Balances Roll Into October Bills

Azusa Light & Water, the city-owned utility in Azusa, Los Angeles County, California, announced on October 27 that a processing error prevented some customers' September utility bills from being paid on time through autopay. Late fees resulting from the error have been or will be waived, and affected residents do not need to take any action.
The city stressed that no customer's water or power will be shut off over the September balance, including customers who have already received a shutoff notice.
Customers who still owe for September are asked to pay as soon as possible; any remaining balance will be added to the October bill and collected by autopay on the October due date. Customers who have already paid their September bill in full do not need to do anything.
