Colombia Announces Withdrawal from The Hague Group, Citing Body's Actions Over Israel

Colombia's government said on Oct. 27 it would withdraw as a member state and co-chair of The Hague Group of countries, citing the body's actions over Israel, Reuters reported. Colombia is a founding member of the group.
“Colombia officially requested its withdrawal from the Hague Group — a group created to isolate and attack Israel — and we reject that approach,” government spokesperson Miller Soto said in a video shared on X.
The Hague Group, launched by several countries at The Hague in January 2025, says it seeks to uphold international law and processes, including in the International Criminal Court over Israel's actions. Colombia had served as one of its co-chairs.
