Trump Rallies in Corpus Christi, Texas on October 27, One Week Before Midterm Election Day, Stumping for Republican Candidates

Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas: President Donald Trump traveled to Corpus Christi on October 27 for a rally at the Port of Corpus Christi, stumping for Republican candidates ahead of the midterm elections. Local media reported he would continue the same day to Lubbock; earlier this month he had visited Denton and other Texas stops.
The rally fell in the final week of early voting, one week before the November 3 midterm election day. Trump has endorsed several Texas Republicans, including U.S. Senate nominee Ken Paxton, Governor Greg Abbott and Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick. Corpus Christi police announced road closures from noon to 4 p.m. around the event, with the Harbor Bridge fully closed southbound and its northbound left lane closed.
The day before, Trump had visited Mississippi to campaign for a Republican Senate candidate. With election day approaching, both parties’ final push has turned to mobilizing their voters to cast early ballots and holding key seats.
