Temecula, Riverside County, California: Flags of Honor Display Lines the Duck Pond November 2 to 16 for Veterans Day
The Flags of Honor display in Temecula, Riverside County, California, will line the perimeter of the Temecula Duck Pond from November 2 to 16, the city said. The program gives community members the opportunity to sponsor an American flag in honor of military personnel; each flag on display includes a personalized dedication card, and viewing is free.
For the Veterans Day display, honorees include active-duty military personnel and veterans who served honorably and have retired, according to the city. For Memorial Day, honorees may include service members who lost their lives in service, or veterans who served honorably and have passed on. Sponsorship costs $30 per flag; applications for this year's Veterans Day display closed on October 26. At the end of the display period, the flag and dedication card will be available for pickup.
