City of Hope Walk for Hope Set for Nov. 8 in Irvine, Orange County: Team Dragon Recruiting, Free 2K and 5K Entry
City of Hope's annual Walk for Hope charity walk takes place on Sunday, November 8, 2026, at City of Hope Orange County in Irvine, Orange County, California. The site opens at 8:00 a.m. and the walk begins at 9:30 a.m. Team Dragon, a Chinese community team launched by American Lending Center and Sunstone Management together with community partners, is now recruiting members. Registration is free, and participants may make a voluntary donation to support cancer research and patient care.
Led by team captain John Shen, Team Dragon calls on the AAPI community to support cancer research and patient care, and welcomes both adults and children. Walkers may choose the 2K or 5K route and donate as they wish. The team provides an exclusive team T-shirt to be worn on the day, and participants are asked to wear light, comfortable athletic shoes. Team Dragon gathers at 9:00 a.m.
Walk for Hope, City of Hope's signature fundraising event, has raised nearly $50 million since 1997 to accelerate cancer research and innovative treatments.
