Irvine's Sixth Annual Citywide Serve Day Set for November 7 With More Than 20 Volunteer Projects, Free Registration

The City of Irvine, in Orange County, California, announced that the sixth annual Love Irvine Citywide Serve Day, held in partnership with Love Irvine, is set for Saturday, November 7, from 8 a.m. to noon, with more than 20 volunteer projects across the city and free registration. A kickoff event begins at 7:30 a.m. at Woodbridge Village Center, after which volunteers report to their project locations.
Projects this year include harvesting produce at Harvest Solutions Farm, making blankets for the 2/11 Marine Battalion, supporting the Farm + Food Lab Pollinator Project, making gratitude baskets for the Irvine Police Department, and sorting food for South County Outreach, among others, with partners spanning nonprofit service providers, faith-based organizations, government entities and schools.
Love Irvine works with nonprofit providers and government entities to identify community needs, then connects faith-based organizations, businesses and individuals so residents can serve in simple, actionable ways. The city said the entire community is encouraged to come together and create a lasting difference in Irvine and beyond.
The project list and registration are at loveirvine.org/serveday, and participation is free; age requirements and meeting points for individual projects are listed on the registration page. City Hall can be reached at 949-724-6000 and is located at 1 Civic Center Plaza, Irvine, CA 92606.
